Christoph Vogel

Christoph Vogel has been working on the Great Lakes region of Africa for fifteen years, focusing on the dynamics of conflict and violence. He was research director of the Insecure Livelihoods project at Ghent University, founder of suluhu.org, member of the United Nations Group of Experts on the Congo and has led several research projects within the Congo Study Group, including conflict mapping from 2015 to 2021.

Christoph holds a doctorate from the University of Zurich, as well as numerous scientific articles and investigative reports. His book Conflict Minerals Inc (Hurst and Oxford University Press) will shortly be published in the DRC by Editions Mlimani.
