Director of the political pillar at Ebuteli
Bio
Trésor Kibangula, director of the political pillar at Ebuteli. After covering political news in the Democratic Republic of Congo for nearly ten years, notably for Jeune Afrique, Trésor joined the Congo Research Group (GEC), an independent research center based at New York University, in 2019. As the coordinator of political research, he oversaw the launch of Talatala, the first Congolese barometer on parliamentary activity and government action, in March 2021. Then, from early 2022, he participated in the creation of Ebuteli. Since then, he has served as the director of the political pillar of this Congolese research institute on politics, governance, and violence.
Besides his interest in political analysis, Trésor is passionate about the evolution of media and new forms of journalism. Since graduating from the École supérieure de journalisme de Lille (ESJ), he has occasionally contributed at ESJ to update international students before the academic year begins and to supervise second-year master's students in their final digital project. Since January 2018, he has been one of the instructors for the work-study program and an online bachelor's degree at ESJ-International.
