Jason Stearns

Jason Stearns is a Senior Fellow of the Centre for International Cooperation (CIC) and the founder and Chair of the Advisory Board of the Congo research Group (CRG).

He is currently Assistant Professor of International Studies at Simon Fraser University. Jason has been working on conflict dynamics in Central Africa since 2001, when he worked for a local human rights group in Bukavu. He has worked for the International Crisis Group, the UN Panel of Experts on DR Congo and the Rift Valley Institute. He is the author of Dancing in the Glory of Monsters: The Collapse of the Congo and the Great War of Africa and The War that doesn't say its name: The unending conflict in the Congo.
